(Some carpet manufacturers require that their products are only cleaned by IICRC qualified technicians).

It is only possible to become a member of either body after undertaking appropriate courses and exams. Only certified members of either body are allowed to display the logos. 		Our Equipment
		Amethyst use Hot Water Extraction as this is considered to be the most effective way of cleaning carpets by many manufactures including Shaw Industries, who are the world’s largest carpet manufacturer. Your carpet will be vacuumed thoroughly initially to remove any loose soil. Next comes a pre-spray which is worked into the pile and helps suspend the remaining soil. Finally comes the rinse which is injected into the pile under pressure and then vacuumed out taking the soil with it leaving the carpet thoroughly clean and fresh. Other cleaning methods are used by some carpet cleaners but, as they don’t vacuum extract, it’s difficult to see how they can be anywhere near as effective as the system that Amethyst use. Your carpets should be dry in a few hours although you will be able to walk on them straight away if you need to. Stories of carpets being soggy for days are usually put around by cleaners using inferior cleaning systems! To top of the process the pile on your carpet will be groomed so that it will look as good as possible for you when the job is completed. Finally we will leave you with a bottle of free spot remover on completion so that you will be able to deal with those small problems which inevitably occur from time to time. Additional treatments such as anti allergy and stain protection are of course available and these can be incorporated at the time of cleaning or provided separately if required.
